New Homefront: The Revolution Trailer Shows A Scary Alternate American Timeline

Homefront: The Revolution is almost here and Deep Silver has officially released the opening cinematic for the game. The live action opening walks you through the dark, alternate American history in the Homefront universe and sets the tone for the game. The United States has fallen into chaos and it's up to you and the rest of the resistance fighters to take back the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Deep Silver is looking to reboot the entire franchise with Homefront: The Revolution and feature a brand new backstory on an alternate history in which Korea won the technological arms race thanks to the rise of the sinister APEX corporation.

Homefront: The Revolution releases May 17th on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Fable Legends might not be as dead as we thought

With Microsoft shutting down Lionhead Studios it looked like Fable Legends would die with it., but now it appears like it might not be as dead as previously thought.

A month ago Microsoft Europe announced that they were shutting down two studios, Press-Play and Lionhead Studios UK. Lionhead was developing Fable Legends at the time the studio was shutdown and the project was canceled.

According to reports from MCV, who has three sources at Lionhead, supposedly "discussions are on-going about saving the free-to-play RPG."

The report went on to detail that "staff are being surveyed as to whether they would like to continue working on Legends, or just accept the redundancy package that has been put before them and leave at the end of April."

So Fable Legends might not be dead after all, as of now, it is in a sort of limbo.

Most of those who worked at Lionhead has quit already, but sources claim that Microsoft's consideration on whether or not to continue on Fable Legends is founded on a few Lionhead employees who are considering independently developing the game. MCV's other sources could not verify if that was why Microsoft was questioning the remaining Lionhead employees.

A spokesperson from Microsoft said "We aren’t sharing additional details beyond that we have ceased development on Fable Legends, and are in discussions with employees at Lionhead about our proposed closure of the studio as well."

So Fable Legends is not entirely dead, it is still a tad bit alive. But don't get your hopes up.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 spotted for Xbox One via backwards compatibility

One of the biggest first-person shooters of all time is making it's return on Xbox One if a recent report from a Reddit user is to be believed.

A Reddit user by the name of "AlbyPlays" posted some images that showed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 listed on the Xbox One store under the backwards compatibility section. When the user went to click on the title, he was brought to an error page and the game was removed from the Xbox Store.

About two weeks ago, there was a rumor floating around stating that Modern Warfare 1 and 2 would come with pre-orders for the next Call of Duty title as backwards compatible games. If history repeats itself, the new Call of Duty will be announced within the next few weeks.

Of course, this could be a good photoshop attempt and the user was using these rumors to gain attention. No doubt, we will find out if this rumor is true sometime before the end of May when the next Call of Duty is inevitably revealed.

In other Call of Duty news, there have been many other rumors surrounding the series. One particular rumor points to the next game in the popular military shooter being set in space! Not exactly sure how you would set a whole game like Call of Duty out in the vast place we call outer space, but I'm down to try anything once!
