With 25 characters, various multiplayer modes, and story missions there is a lot to learn about Battleborn and what it truly means to be a badass.
Battleborn has quite a bit of content to a lot to take in and even more to learn. The team behind Battleborn knows that and decided to make a 12 minute long video to tell people what they are doing and why they are doing it. They show everything players needs to know. It's really handy!
The open beta for Battleborn has just started on Playstation 4 while PC and Xbox One players will get to join the chaos on April 13.
Battleborn will launch May 3 on Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC.
The internet sure loves to blast whatever it can get its hands on. The same appears to be true for Bethesda's upcoming DOOM reboot on Steam. Over the last four days, DOOM's Open Beta has accrued over 12,000 user reviews on Steam and only 38% of them are positive.
There are a few notable consistencies in the feedback and they are as follows:
- Player movement is lethargic
- Weapons feel weak, resulting in more bullet spongy enemies
- Weapons are no longer found/earned on the map, instead the game gives players loadouts
- The speed of the matches is slow as well. The game doesn't have that classic controlled chaos of older ID games.
There are also quite a few of the dreaded "this was made for consoles" remarks that are sure to draw the ire of Xbox and PlayStation fans alike.

Now that the Battleborn Open Beta has wrapped up, the Developers at Gearbox have been crunching seemingly every possible number to bring you the most detailed (and ridiculous) statistics. For starters, the biggest news is that the Open Beta was played by over 2 million players worldwide, which is impressive.
The Development staff was particularly focused on testing three primary aspects of the game, according to them; the number of competitive multiplayer matches, Story Mode runs, and Shard collecting. The final tally is as follows:
- 1.1 Million Competitive Multiplayer matches
- 1.4 Million Story Mode episodes
- 27 Billion Shards collected
Gearbox is promising that since they were able to surpass the goals that they set out for the Open Beta, that they will be sending out a SHiFT code on May 3 for three golden skins, one for ISIC, Benedict, Shayne and Aurox.
The Battleborn Open Beta originally launched on April 8th on PS4 and April 13th for PC and Xbox One. Battleborn is shaping up to be very friendly to PC players especially, as its system requirements aren't as taxing as you might think. If you're still on the fence about the game, you can check out the Battleborn Bootcamp video for more information.
