If you participate in the beta, you will receive a number of 'Vintage' skins, a unique bounty card and a vintage emblem to use in the full version of the game. Gears of War 4 is set to release on October 11th exclusively on the Xbox One. However, it has been rumored that the game will make an eventual jump to PC via Windows 10 as Microsoft progresses with their initiative to expand on the PC platform.
Next week, on Monday, April 25, the Gears of War 4 Versus Multiplayer Beta will open up to all Xbox Live Gold members. To get fans ready for the fight, Xbox and The Coalition released a brand-new trailer today features tons of intense COG vs Swarm action.
In addition to showing off the new cast of characters in Versus Multiplayer combat, the trailer also shows brand-new weapons, maps, modes and executions being put to the test – all set to the DJ Shadow and Run the Jewels’ new track, “Nobody Speak.” You get to see guns plunged into the back of a Locust's head as he's shot across the screen.
It's definitely an incredible undertaking, and as someone who's played the beta already you will definitely be impressed. Gears of War 4 launches this October 11th exclusively on Xbox One.
The critically acclaimed Shadow Complex recently got remastered and now the release date for the PlayStation 4 and PC versions has been revealed.
The remastered version of Shadow Complex has been available for Xbox One since March, and now the PlayStation 4 and PC release dates have been announced. The game is set to release on May 3, making it less than a month away.
Shadow Complex is the same game that got released back in 2009, but with better graphics, more challenges, and better melee.
Shadow Complex is a 2.5D side scrolling game made by Epic Games, the creators of Gears of War, and it was one of the most praised games of 2009. It will be a great addition to the PC and PlayStation 4 game library.

Gears of War 4 Ultimate Edition is one number away from being Gears of War Ultimate Edition, a remaster of the original Gears of War plus five unreleased chapters. The two can easily be confused due to being one number apart, hopefully we don't see parents purchasing the wrong game this holiday season.
The Gears of War 4 beta is finally about to begin! The "early access" beta begins today, as codes are being sent out to eligible gamers.
Gamers who played the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition before April 11 are eligible for the early access of the Gears of War 4 beta. According to Gamespot, the codes are being sent out chronologically, so gamers who played the Ultimate Edition the earliest will get access to the beta sooner than late players. The last ones to get their codes will get them on Thursday, April 21.
The beta will officially open to everyone on April 25, with those that have early access due to playing Ultimate Edition having an advantage of getting to level 20 before everyone else — leveling to 20 in the beta will earn you some sweet rewards in the full game when it releases later in October.
If the beta isn't enough to get gamers hyped for Gears of War 4 then there is always that remixed version of the Gears 4 trailer that combines the trailer footage with Mad World to get the hype flowing.
It appears as though the popular thing is to talk about future games, before a game even releases. It's almost like talking about DLC before a game releases, but its bigger than that. The Coalition's studio head, Rod Fergusson has revealed that as long as Gears of War 4 does well, we can expect the series to keep going.
Essentially Gear of War is at the crux of the franchise, the familiar set of main characters have been retired and replaced with a younger set of characters to take us through a new story.
"One of the things that's nice about Microsoft's investment is that we know, unless this does horribly, we're probably going to do another one," explained Ferguson to DigitalSpy.
"That's made it easier to design moving forward. In the past, when we were doing Gears 1, Gears 2 and Gears 3, there was a lot of doubt, we didn't know whether there would be another one, so we just had to get everything in right now. Here, we're able to look at it, recognise a great idea that doesn't quite fit right now, but it'll fit in the next one. It's made it a lot easier."
Recently, The Coalition's studio head, Rod Fergusson revealed that the highly anticipated Gears of War 4 will feature microtransactions upon release. These microtransactions will not affect gameplay and will be available as collectibles, as well as customization items.
Xbox is starting to rev up their massive marketing machine for Gears of War 4 by revealing the first trailer since E3 2015 during AMC's Fear The Walking Dead season premiere.
The official Gears of War Twitter account released an incredibly short teaser that sets the tone for the game and gives us a slight taste of what we will see Sunday night. The full trailer will debut sometime during Fear The Walking Dead's one hour premiere starting at 9PM ET.

Gears of War 4 will release October 11th on Xbox One with a multiplayer beta starting later this month.
The war against the Locust was over and the COGs could settle down, build a life, and be happy. Unfortunately, the peace only lasted 25 years. Humanity has to once again pick up arms to defend their homes, but this time it's against a new enemy.
The 25 years of peace wasn't all that peaceful, a series of strange disappearances happened and no one knew why. Marcus Fenix and the gang are all old men these days, so it is up to a new generation of warriors to defend humanity.
JD Fenix, following in his father's footsteps, is one of them. The difference is this time it isn't the Locust that is the enemy, there is a new terrifying foe and we will find that out in the story of Gears of War 4.
This latest Gears of War 4 trailer follows the iconic trend its predecessors set up with masterfully combining sad music with intense action, so check the video out above!
Gears of War 4 is expected to make its official launch worldwide on October 11, if you can't wait that long then keep tabs on the upcoming Gears of War 4 beta, which starts April 18 and runs to May 1.
With the Gears of War 4 beta token supposed to be going out beginning yesterday, many players were left hanging when they did not receive theirs as planned. Codes were supposed to be distributed in chronological order based on when you played the Gears of War Ultimate Edition, but this did not occur.
The Coalition addressed the issue by commenting
"Microsoft Operations had an issue [on April 18] with their code drop and unfortunately the codes will not be distributed in chronological order as originally messaged. We will be doing another code drop [evening of April 18] to help address some of the issues. As noted before, codes will be going out in waves as we ramp up our servers through the beta."
All codes should be sent out by Thursday night with the early access beta period ending on April 24th. It will then open up to all XBL Gold players from April 25th – May 1st.
Gears of War 4 is set to release on Xbox One October 11th.
