Bethesda created a fairly large map for Fallout 4 and some gamers might have experienced difficulties in navigating it, especially after discovering most of the locations the game has to offer.
However now, one gamer has found a rather smart way of making it easier to use. Instead of scrolling your way around a jam-packed 2D map with icons all over the place, why not just make it 3D!
Reddit user KidaXV posted a few pictures of Fallout 4's map onto the r/fo4 subreddit, taking up a Google Earth-styled design. As you can see in the photo above, the map looks a lot smaller and maybe even easier to use too.

There has been tons of speculation during the last few weeks that Sony is considering an upgraded version of their PS4 console, dubbed the PS4.5. In fact, a few of the system specs are starting rumors of their own. However it seems Xbox's Phil Spencer wouldn't support Microsoft if they followed suit.
Spencer gave his take on the rumors during a recent roundtable discussion with Game Informer. He said:
"I’m not a big fan of Xbox One and a half. If we’re going to move forward, I want to move forward in big numbers."
Despite the troubles that Xbox gamers have encountered with Microsoft's online experience, specifically Xbox Live, it seems the Xbox boss is pretty happy with the console's performance.
"I don’t know anything about any of the rumors that are out there, but I can understand other teams’ motivations to do that. For us, our box is doing well. It performs, it’s reliable, the servers are doing well. If we’re going to go forward with anything, like I said, I want it to be a really substantial change for people – an upgrade."
If these comments are anything to go off of – for now at least – it would seem that an Xbox One upgrade is not on the cards.
The latest ARK: Survival Evolved update for Xbox One includes a number of different fixes, locations and three new creatures.
Studio Wildcard sent out a press release detailing a number of changes for the game, including a new trailer – as featured above.
The trailer shows the title's latest additions; Woolly Rhino, Eurypterid and Dunkleosteus, along with some concept art. Take a look:
Aside from those additions, here are the fixes:
- The game's frame rate has been increased by around 10%.
- Players will now teleport above ground if they find themselves stuck underground.
- The in-game spyglass now works with splitscreen.
- The colorization for the mammoths have been fixed.
- When opening the Tribe Menu the focus is no longer on the Leave Tribe button, and there is a confirmation button for the Leave Tribe option also added.
Also, as well as the current servers, Studio Wildcard has announced the introduction of Extinction Event servers – marking the arrival of Swamp and Snow Cave-Dungeons biomes.
Many gamers will already be aware that this game is still at preview-stage, however the full game it is expected to be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC later this year.
The actor that played Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Ewan McGregor, has said that he would be interested in returning to the franchise for a spin-off film.
It is not surprising that McGregor would want to work on a Star Wars film again, given the success of The Force Awakens, however the possibility of a movie dedicated to Obi-Wan Kenobi could be an interesting prospect for fans.
Many of you might be wondering where about this film would fit into the Star Wars timeline, well, McGregor seems to have a suggestion.
During an interview with Collider, the actor said:
"I’d very much like to do one too. I think the story between Episode III and Episode IV, I think there’s a story there. I think that’s the Obi-Wan Kenobi movie, if there is one. The one that bridges my Obi-Wan Kenobi and Alec’s Obi-Wan Kenobi because there’s a- I don’t know how long he’s in the desert there, but it’s got to be twenty or thirty years."
While the cast was being drawn up for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, rumors started to appear about McGregor possibly appearing as a ghost in the film, or even at a later stage of the trilogy.
When pressed on a potential appearance in the future, he responded:
"I don’t know anything about it. I’m really not in the picture with the Star Wars trilogy. As far as I know, I would be Alec Guinness by now, so I don’t know how that would work. I really don’t know and I haven’t had any discussions with anyone about it.
To play Obi-Wan Kenobi again would be something I would love to do in one of the spinoff movies. If that were to happen in one of their trilogies, I would be up for that, but I don’t know how that would happen. I’m sure some of the Star Wars fans would come up with an idea of how that could happen."
So, it seems that one side of the deal is very optimistic about the possibility of a Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off, but McGregor is not the first actor to say that… and he probably won't be the last. But will Disney make a few spin-off movies? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

This story contains information regarding Sunday's Game of Thrones episode: 'Home' and may contain spoilers.
After months of Kit Harington telling Game of Thrones fans that their beloved Jon Snow had died and would not be making a return, it turns out he was lying all along.
This week's episode came to a close with Davos and Melisandre trying to revive Jon Snow, but after it looked like their attempts had failed, they left the room. Little did they know, Snow started to breathe again – despite Harington categorically claiming that his character was not coming back.
Well, in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kit Harington gave his post-episode comments. He said: “Sorry! I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone. I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’
"But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing – or the show is doing – is right.”
Whatever way you look at this resurrection, one thing is for certain – Jon Snow definitely knew something this time around.
Many of us are addicted to games in one way or another. Whether we're trying to get to the new game plus content in Dark Souls or just trying to figure out that last impossible Angry Birds level, we stick to it until the bitter end. For some, however, the struggle is definitely real.
According to Sina News, an 11-year-old boy in China named Xiaopeng, cut off his own finger tip when his parents banned him from playing his mobile games. When his parents thought he was gaming on his phone way too much (probably a fair assessment), they did what any sensible parents would do and took his phone away once they saw him grab it first thing in the morning, having already told him it was now off limits. In protest, the boy sliced off the tip of his index finger above the first joint.
After a tricky three hour surgery, the doctor's were able to reattach his finger, but because the boy is so young, its still uncertain whether the reattached arteries will take, allowing the finger to return to normal functionality.
Rockstar has revealed a number of new features for GTA Online as part of the game's Tornado Week, with a lowrider and other additions set to arrive on April 5th.
There are a wide variety of vehicles on Grand Theft Auto V, ranging from a selection of smart sports cars to huge helicopters and aeroplanes – and soon enough we're going to see another vintage lowrider hit the market.
Declasse Tornado Custom – as featured in the image above – will be available to purchase on GTA Online from next Tuesday onwards.
The vintage car is advertised as part of Benny's Original Motorworks store and will include "expressive and eclectic Livery choices" and "an abundance of roof design options."
In addition to that, GTA V will also be handing gamers a 25% discount off selected modifications for this new lowrider, while offering a 15% discount off every 10 car garage you can buy!
Here are a few other offers that Rockstar has advertised:
- New SUMO mode maps: "Watch out for the cracks as you smash, bash and barge in high atop the SS Bulker at the docks in Sumo V – and take to the roof of Sightings Bar & Restaurant at the airport for the ultimate dance of destruction in Sumo VI."
- Double XP in SUMO Adversary modes: This includes the two new maps that Rockstar has announced.
- Weapon discounts: "30% off your purchase of the Machete, the Machine Pistol and any item of Lowriders clothing."
The Electronic Software Association just posted the results of their annual poll on consumer gaming. The most interesting piece of information to come out is that less than half of American homes (48%) have been determined to own a dedicated gaming console. This is the first time that the number has dipped below 50% in a few years, as 2013, 2014 and 2015 all held steady at 51%. The survey was conducted across a total of 4,000 households.
However, that's not to say that this number reflects the number of households who play games. Quite the opposite. The survey determined that 65% of households own some form of gaming platform, but this includes tablets, smartphones and PC's.
It's unsuprising that these numbers are what they are. Simply put, there are more people playing games than there's ever been and mobile platforms (smartphones especially) are the most convenient there is.

Bethesda has reportedly opened up the chance for interested gamers to test out the Fallout 4 Creation Kit via a closed beta, however after high demand the thread has been abruptly closed by the developer.
There is no official release date for the Fallout 4 Creation Kit so far, but it is expected to launch at some stage this month. Some reports suggest that the news of more beta testing could be a signpost for an impending release, although that might not be the case.
For those that are not aware, this Creation Kit will allow PC gamers to mix up and modify Fallout 4 in a variety of different ways – which opens up endless realms of possibility for those that are interested.
As we mentioned earlier, Bethesda posted on their online community forum that there would be a possibility of allowing gamers to get involved with the closed beta. However, with it being as easy as replying with the word "YES" in order to be posted on the thread, over 1,000 responses were recorded rather quickly.
Therefore, Bethesda then closed the thread "for the time being," which suggests that it might well open again soon, but nothing is confirmed on that front.
Those that did make their interest in testing out the Creation Kit closed beta could receive a private messaging, including an invitation to test it out. So, if you were lucky enough to get your name in the hat, be sure to keep your eye out for a response from Bethesda.

Comparing the qualities of different video game characters is a part of what makes gaming great, and now one YouTuber is throwing both The Master Chief and Dovahkiin into the grandest colosseum of all to do battle – the streets of Los Santos.
In this phase one video, which can be found above, not only do we see a face-off between two iconic characters from very different genres, a dragon enters the world of Grand Theft Auto.
The video shows a rather epic face-to-face encounter but ends abruptly in typical 'cliff hanger' fashion. For those that are interested in seeing what happens next we can confirm that the next video will be released within the next two months, after speaking to the creator of the video yesterday.
